The parcel in question is approximately 1.6 acres. The garage is proposed in a side yard; constructing an accessory building in a side yard requires special land use approval. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at the regular meeting of the Bruce Township Board of Trustees on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bruce Township Hall located at 223 East Gates, Romeo, MI 48065, upon the Application for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate submitted by 33M53, LLC. A copy of the Application has been submitted to the Township assessor and to the legislative body of each taxing unit which levies ad valorem property taxes in the Township of Bruce and which may be affected by this Application. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for a variance submitted by Christian Contarino of Quadrate Construction. The applicant is seeking a variance from Section 161-3.1.16.D, which a maximum building height in the LI-1 Light Industrial of 40 feet. The proposed building has a height of 45 feet, 6 inches. The property in question is a vacant property on the east side of Brue Tech Park Drive north of 33 Mile Road, (Parcels 14-01-25-400-022, 71701 Bruce Tech Park Drive).
