Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 26, 2023, beginning at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for a variance submitted by Joshua Stephens. The applicant is seeking a variance from Section 161-3.1.4.E, setback standards of the R-1-B district. An 8-foot side yard setback is required, and the house is currently 6 feet, 3 inches off the property line. The applicant would like to add an addition that continues the existing line of the building. A variance of 1 foot, 9 inches is requested. The property in question is 70114 Mellen Rd (parcel ID 01-35-180-031).
A complete copy of the application for a variance may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 AM through 4:30 PM and Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on June 26, 2023.
