In November 2022, Michigan voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment (proposal 2) that gives voters the right to vote early and in person at early voting sites before statewide and federal elections.

Voter Registration

To verify your registration status, click on the link below for the Michigan Voter Information Center. You can also view a sample ballot, find your polling location, or monitor the status of your absentee ballot application and ballot.

*Reminder PA 523 of 2012 – requires that you provide a photo ID when registering to vote or requesting an absentee ballot in person.

Where can I register to vote in-person?

You may register to vote at the Clerk’s office during office hours or at any Secretary of State Office.

Early voting

With the passage of Proposal 22-2, voters now have the right to vote in-person at an early voting site prior to Election Day for all Statewide and Federal election.

2024 Early Voting Schedule: 

  • Days: Early Voting is open nine (9) consecutive days beginning on the second Saturday prior to the election and ending on the Sunday prior to the election.
  • Time: Early Voting is 8:30 am – 4:30 pm daily
  • Primary Early Voting Period: Saturday, October 26, 2024 – November 3, 2024
