***THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED***. Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 27, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request for a variance submitted by B4 Acquisitions, LLC. The applicant is seeking a variance from Section 161-3.1.16.D, which requires an industrial use in the LI-1 Light Industrial district to have a 50-foot setback from a non-LI-1 district. The applicant seeks a setback of 10 feet from a property zoned RM-1 Multiple Family. The property in question is a vacant property on the north side of 33 Mile Road, just east of McKay Road (Parcels 14-01-25-300-033 and 14-25-300-035).
A complete copy of the application for a variance may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 AM through 4:30 PM and Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on January 27, 2025.
