Notice is hereby given that the Bruce Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 beginning at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a request initiated by the Bruce Township Board to rezone a portion of parcel 14-01-35-200-039 from RM-1 Multiple Family Residential to R-1-B Single-Family Residential. The parcel in question is approximately 51 acres and is located west of the M-53 corridor, with a small amount of frontage on the south side of 33 Mile Road, and additional frontage on the east side of McVicar Road. The portion currently zoned RM-1 is approximately 14.75 acres and also has frontage on the cul-de-sac of Excalibur. The township, with the consent of the property owner, proposes to rezone the full parcel to R-1-B.
A complete copy of the application for rezoning may be examined at Bruce Township Hall, 223 East Gates Street, Romeo, MI 48065, prior to the public hearing, during the Township’s regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM. Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commission at the Township Hall address. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing on January 5, 2022.
